FAQs

Have a question?

Which package do I book in for?

Great question!

My headshot packages are primarily for actors. However feel free to go for this package if you just need a photograph for Linked In or similar, or a Business Headshot for your company website etc.

If you are looking to build your brand, redesign your website with new images, revamp your business portfolio, take photographs showcasing your work or work environment, or take photographs to be displayed publicly or for print - then my Business Branding or Editorial Portrait packages are for you.

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are unsure though.

How do I get there?

Public Transport: It is a 11 min walk from Portslade Train Station, or we are also on the '1' and ‘700’ Bus Routes.

Cycle: There are bike stands outside the studio entrance.

Parking: Parking is tricky as it’s an industrial area. There are usually spots on the other side of Church Road near Brambledean or St. Richards Road but I suggest taxi or Uber if you need to drive here.

What do I wear?

Bring whatever makes you feel like YOU.
Something you love.
Anything that makes you feel amazing.
Clothing that people have told you looks good on you.
Any items that your agent has told you to wear.
Colour, pattern and texture are always welcome.
Lace, sequins, tulle, chiffon, denim, leather - its all good.
Avoid labels that may date your image.
Bring more than you think you will need, and be open to play!

Do I need to book a hair and make up artist?

For headshots and branding, I highly recommend it if you can afford it as it gives a polished look to your images & I can recommend some local artists. However it isn't necessary, and some images look better raw and real.

Do bring hairspray or product so we can avoid any frizz in your photos.

Try to arrive hair and make-up ready, although there will be time to touch up beforehand.

For portrait/editorial sessions we will discuss hair and make-up as part of your consultation.

Do you do kids headshots?

Yes absolutely! I don't tend to put children on my website & I am not a newborn photographer, but I do take kids headshot bookings!

Simply choose from the Headshot packages and put in the notes the name and age of your child. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult .

Somethings come up - how do I reschedule??

My booking policy requires:

- Cancellations made 72hrs or more in advance of the shoot date will receive a 100% refund.
- Cancellations made within less than 48hrs will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made within 24hrs will not receive a refund.

(If you need to cancel or reschedule please get in touch with me as soon as you can to discuss.)

Where are you based?

I have a studio in Brighton: Unit 16, Trafalgar Studios, 72A North Street, Brighton, BN41 1DG.

I also occasionally shoot at rented studios in London, sign up to my mailing list for updates on my next London dates.

How long does the shoot take

It depends on your package, but prepare to be shooting for at least an hour or two.

How long does it take to get my photos delivered?

You will receive a gallery of your headshots shoot in approx 2 working days for you to scroll through to choose your final images. Once chosen - retouches then take a further 2-3 days. For branding and portrait shoots please allow 7-14 days for the edit.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. £100 will be taken when you book any shoot. This is fully refundable up to 72hrs before your shoot. This will then be deducted from your remaining balance which will be due the day of your shoot.

How far in advance can I book?

My books are usually open two months ahead. I usually require at least 48hrs notice, but please do get in touch if you need to book outside of these times and I'll do my best to help.

Do you travel or work on location?

Yes absolutely. I will often travel to your homes or place of business to photograph you there. (Please note there is an extra charge if over 10 miles away from BN1.)

Please get in touch for any overseas travel requests.
